Letter-Writing Campaign

RECEIVED Mon., July 18, 2005

To the editor:
I was so thrilled to find out about the “Exxpose Exxon” protest that took place on Tuesday [“Naked City,” News, July 15]. The public interest groups and the environmental groups that were working on it have the right idea.
ExxonMobil continues to exhibit an appalling track record on environmental issues, and it's about time that people hold them accountable. There profits are record-breaking, so there is no excuse for ignoring the environment and the public's concerns for the environment that we live in.
It seems to me that it's time to demand ExxonMobil's attention, and if that means a boycott of Exxon products, then count me in!
Sincerely,
Valerie Halls
