Leave Struggling Artists Alone

RECEIVED Wed., May 4, 2005

Dear Editor,
So, the other day I woke up and there was a prerecorded message from Sara Hickman on my answering machine telling me that I should go out and vote for the smoking ban because it's so gross for her and her bandmates to go play a show and come home smelling like smoke. When was the last time that she had to play a show at a smoking bar?
Then I got something in the mail the next day with Sara's face and Marcia Ball's face on it talking about the smoking ban. Don't these ladies sell out shows all across the U.S. and Europe? They sure don't have day jobs.
Why don't they get their noses out of other people's business and leave struggling artists alone? I guess it's that Metallica complex of "deciding what everyone else's morals should be" or something.
