Toll Roads Drive up All Costs

RECEIVED Wed., Feb. 2, 2005

Dear Editor,
I would like to take a second to point out that everyone will be affected financially by these new toll roads, even if you don’t drive on them.
Your pizza deliveryman who drives these roads will now be charged more, the landscape company who comes to your house or office every week to service you will be charged more. Your pool cleaning company, maid service company, air-conditioning repair, delivery service, etc., who visits you will be charged tolls.
If you believe that these companies and individuals will just absorb hundreds of dollars a month in additional overhead to service your account and not pass the increase in doing business along to you, you’re mistaken.
This road toll will affect us all through additional costs that will be passed on to the consumer.
So please don’t be surprised to see many of our normal bills from the companies we hire to provide products and services go up as a result of the increased cost of providing these services to us. Please vote no on these toll roads.
