OK, who loosened Mike Luther's restraining straps ["Postmarks," Jan. 2]? Livid Luther whines about they who "won't let him drink beer in the park" and they who "believe Moses filled a boat full of critters and then slammed into Mount Ararat" (which was just before Jesus saw his shadow and returned to the tomb for six more weeks of winter, no doubt). I pray that Luther is not using sharp objects to write letters to the editor or mixing his medication(s) with beer.
Why doth the heathen rage when the truth will set them free from their agenda-seeking ignorance? Don't ask Louis Black ["Page Two," Jan. 2]. He's so paranoid he might ask Santa for a time machine that would zap him "out of this decade and into the year 2011" (2011?!? I guess you had to be there, huh?). Nobody promised you a tomorrow Mr. Black. Jim, the lizard king, screeched, "The future's uncertain and the end is always near" (the Doors). Live every day like it's your last, ’cause one day it's gonna be.
FYI: Luther – Noah built the ark (and gathered the critters), not Moses. Haven't you seen the commercial on TV?

After reading the aforementioned issue of the Chronicle, it dawned on me as to why progressive liberalism is awash in failure and disgrace: 1) spineless, gutless insults and rhetoric with little-to-no regard for the truth and facts; 2) shameless, parasitic hypocrisy; 3) pompous delusions of grandeur and a groundless superiority complex; and 4) hedonistic perversity that the far-left demand be accepted as mainstream.
It's truly hilarious watching your manipulative attempt at social engineering fall flat on its face over and over again. With all the seriousness I can muster, I gotta ask: Why don't all you malcontent rabid leftists pack up your freak show and move someplace where you can pull the wool over voters' eyes, or start your own despot government of secular humanistic socialism? Isn't it bad enough getting your ass kicked election after election? Do you really want to be on the losing end of the next U.S. civil war that leftists seem hellbent on starting?! Because of psychotic liberalism, the United States is about as united as owls and crows (who will attack each other on sight). Why not cut your losses and flee like the limp-wristed gadflies that you are? For all of the liberal faults, stupidity is not the worst. Do something right for a change and get while the gittin's good. Don't wait until 2011 (sorry?) when President Cheney puts you all in padded cages; save yourselves now!
