WE GOT PRIDE! YOU GOT PRIDE! Wow. No more waiting for the heat of Pride to come. 'Tis upon us. Like the neighbor's dog. Not only will the shores be scorching with queer after queer after darling-lovely queer, but the lineup will keep the masses packed to the front of the stage. Gyratin'. Have a look: Meshell Ndegeocello, Pansy Division, Los Bad Apples, Amy Cook, Run of the Mill, Hedda Layne, Flamin' Desire, and Kings N Things. Oh! And then, a parade! Sat., June 14, noon. Auditorium Shores, South First at Lady Bird Lake, 474-5475, 474-4422. $15 ($10, advance). info@austinprideparade.org, marianne@equalitytexas.org, www.pridetexas.org, www.austinprideparade.org.

MULTIFAITH PRIDE SERVICE In our humblest of opinions, this is the most moving and evocative experience of the whole Pride canoodle. The openness, the spirit, the display of true acceptance: This is what it's all about. Plus: Ruthie Foster playeth and MCC's the Rev. Karen Thompson speaketh. Let us pray! Thu., June 12, 7pm. First United Methodist Church, 1201 Lavaca, 331-5274. www.ausinterfaithprideserv.20m.com.

WE ALL FLOAT ON So, yeah. We're here, we're queer, and we wanna fuck with your traffic just to sprint by all fabulouslike, touting our true ownership of all things rainbow, especially your pink and purple parts, and most flamboyant dance moves. There will be leather, dykes, firepersons, bikes, tykes, and some proud, proud people. It's the Pride Parade, and it's forming right off of that Pride Festival thing they got going on along them shores. We're marching to say we be who we be; you be who you be; let us all be free. Word. Sun., June 14. Starts at Auditorium Shores; see online for full route. www.austinprideparade.org.

THE GAY PLACE IS TAKING APPLICATIONS Your friendly neighborhood Gay Place is seeking two to four Pride intern-types to hang out and hand out Chronicle goodies to the hot and sweaty masses throughout Pride. You'll mix with our own editorial interns and Chrontouragers, at bars and events, at the Pride booth, and walk with us in the parade. This is a great opportunity for you new-to-towner gaybots who want to meet some peepses. We will hook you up. No doubt. Send us your name, a phone number, e-mail or MySpace page, and a paragraph or two telling us when you could be available and why the hell you want to do this. 454-5766. gayplace@austinchronicle.com, austinchronicle.com/gayplaceblog.

FOODIES AT PRIDE We haven't written the word Foodies in a long time. Good thing it's like riding a dyke ... we mean bike. You just never forget. So, it's Pride, and of course these women who love women who love food will be out and about. Duh. It's their fourth annual Where the Girls Are Pride Party, a front-row seat for all the parade action, with some drink and food specials to make it the perfect spot to gather. Welcome to the Gayborhood everybody; have a mini corn dog. Sat., June 14, 5pm. 219 W. Fourth, 474-2194. beatsagogo@aol.com.

BIG TOP, BIG BOOTY WOP Because sometimes this whole concept of Pride feels like a circus, the folks at ALLGO are making it A Night Under the Big Top, an official Pride dance that's bringing in DJ Carlitos from Cali and the kind of vibe that will have you shaking it. Get proud. Get sweaty. Fri., June 13, 9pm-2am. Rubio's Event Center, 2410 E. Riverside, 791-8752. $15 ($10, advance). www.allgo.org.
