  • Beatles Full Moon Concert in the Dark

    On the April Full Moon, come set intentions and indulge in the mesmerizing allure of live acoustic music performed by world-class musicians, surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight. Its a different kind of concert, that begins and ends in darkness, with music and a poem or two surrounding and soothing you. Audience members will be given the choice of bringing their own yoga mats and/or pillows to gaze at the shadows on the ceiling. A circle of chairs will be provided.

    DreamGaze ATX day two

    Local shoegaze aficionado and Cheer Ups booker Trish Connelly teams with California’s online shoegaze frequency DKFM for a two-day overload. Saturday lays on homegrown fuzz: Vet Trip’s sleepy vox tangling in distortion; Grivo’s inverted goth-gaze; and Blushing’s melodic wall of sound walloping sinister sonics.

      9th Annual Garden Party

      Celebrate with neighbors and friends of The VORTEX with a day of art, planting, live music, and renewal of the Earth. Bring a butterfly vine to plant. Mother Earth will be in attendance to help restore the garden and welcome the new additions.
