    Out of Bounds Comedy Festival

    Look, it's not all about the improv, OK? That is to say, yes, it's hella about improv, the whole looooong weekend is lousy with improv – with amazing troupes from all over the country attending and performing – but there's also a sweet array of sketch comedy and stand-up comedy and just the naturally occurring comedy that ensues as hundreds and hundreds of professionals and fans converge on the ATX for the seven days of this annual festival of staged shenanigans. Shows? Well, yes! But workshops and classes, too – and more afterparties than you can shake a shakable thing at.     The Central Texas Food Bank announces the return of Austin Restaurant Weeks for 2019, with Tito’s Handmade Vodka as the main sponsor and an impressive array of venues offering prix fixe meals and drink specials and – oh, here comes the final weekend of an incredible two weeks’ worth of culinary goodness, with proceeds going to sustain that community-forward Food Bank while you happily feast at, for example, Barley Swine, Café No Sé, the Capital Grille, Caroline Restaurant, Central Standard, Citizen Eatery, Contigo, the Driskill Grill, Easy Tiger Downtown & the Linc, Goodall’s Kitchen, Gusto Italian Kitchen, Hideaway Kitchen & Bar, Il Brutto, Intero, Le Politique, L’Oca d’Oro, Olive & June, Oskar Blues Brewery, Parkside, the Peached Tortilla, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, Sala & Betty, Salt & Time, Sway, and more.     Cinnamon Path presents a comedy benefit starring Jomo & the Possum Posse, Cami & Zach, Jasmine Ellis, and Angela Martin. Also featuring a reading of Max Langert's short comedy Sunday Slugg'rz, with all-star actors Roxy Becker, Lana Dieterich, David DuBose, Doug Greco, and Garry Peters. Note: All proceeds go to help the Austin Ball'rz softball team get to the World Series in Kansas City in September.
