The Tavern presents Nick Lewin, the world-renowned magician and stand-up comedian, within a night of magic, music, and tasty appetizers. This intimate spectacle of modern mystification and comedy will be presented on the last Monday of each month with Lewin as the headliner and the delightful Little Jewford waxing lyrical and tickling the plastic keyboard ivories … but who knows what guests will enhance each amazing iteration? Hint: The folks who own Esther’s now run this classic Austin joint, so you know the talent will always be top-notch. Recommended!

This newly revitalized basement venue is dedicated to "bringing the best in alternative comedy with shows seven nights a week." For instance: Monday starts things off with that sprightly revue of optimism called Fuck This Week, there's Rob Gagnon's unpredictable Sandbox on Tuesdays, the all-female comedy showcase called Garage on Wednesdays, check out Trevor Wade's gender-confounding Clownfish this Thursday, and don't miss the inarguable power of Sure Thing hosted by Duncan Carson and Brendan K. O’Grady that happens every Friday night. the storytelling might of Saturday's Sweet Lightning will scratch your deepest narrative itch, and, on Sunday, daaaaaaaamn, it's the triumphant return of Micheal (sic) Foulk and Vanessa Gonzalez as Handbomb!
