  • Beatles Full Moon Concert in the Dark

    On the April Full Moon, come set intentions and indulge in the mesmerizing allure of live acoustic music performed by world-class musicians, surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight. Its a different kind of concert, that begins and ends in darkness, with music and a poem or two surrounding and soothing you. Audience members will be given the choice of bringing their own yoga mats and/or pillows to gaze at the shadows on the ceiling. A circle of chairs will be provided.

    2021 Bowl for Kids

    Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas is bringing glitz and glamour to their annual fundraiser. The goal is to raise funds to put 80 kids into a caring match with an adult mentor, and you can participate from home by donating, forming or joining a fundraising team, and via online activities including a "Golden Age of Hollywood" costume contest.

    Northern-Southern: Baton

    This is a group show by relay, begun in July of 2020 as a method of socially distancing a community in the height of the pandemic: Artists took turns alone in the space, each adding to the exhibition. Now, as it nears its close, the exhibition resembles a community in which work converses and overlaps. With Adreon Henry, Vy Ngo, Dawn Okoro, Leon Alesi, Matt Steinke, Sev Coursen, Stella Alesi, and more.

    All three Quack's locations – Lady Quackenbush’s Cakery in Mueller, Quack’s 43rd Street Bakery, and Captain Quackenbush’s Coffeehouse on Menchaca – are offering a myriad of Easter goodies for a limited time, including: A six-inch carrot cake that's also a "Bunny" cake ($26.50); coconut cake filled with coconut pastry cream ($32.50); DIY Easter egg cookie kits ($15), which are, we daresay, perfect for the kiddos; six-packs of macaron Easter eggs in flavors of Earl Grey, matcha, lemon, Dreamsicle, vanilla funfetti, or raspberry; and more. But, oh!     Travis County Voter Registration

    The deadline to register to vote in the May 1 special election is Thursday, April 1. If you're not yet registered to vote (find out at www.votetravis.com), you may download a voter registration form at www.votetexas.gov/register, print it, and then either mail it to the county voter registrar (Travis County Voter Registration, PO Box 149327, Austin, Texas 78714-9327) or drop it off at the Travis County Tax Office (5501 Airport Blvd.). You can register to vote in person at the Travis County Tax Office, too. Applications must be postmarked or received by April 1.: If you’ve moved within Travis County or changed your name since the last time you registered to vote, update your voter registration online here.

    This play by Gursimrat Kaur explores the lives of a few urban citizens: Aria, a high-end escort; Dina, a physically disabled young woman; Stanley, an aspiring young entrepreneur. Witness the consequences of economic progression on the inequity of gender roles in a developing society. Directed by Giana Blazquez for UT's annual New Theatre program.
