    A Dramatic Point: Monthly Writing Series for Women of Color

    Fall registration is now open for this monthly virtual creative writing workshop organized for women of color, hosted by ART|library deco. Writing prompts are provided and participants are free to bring their own ideas. Register today for all sessions or as many as you can fit into your schedule. All registered writers are encouraged to contribute their work to the BLACK COVID-19 INDEX project.

    Austin Virtual Vestido Rojo

    Celebrate the local Latinx community and learn how you can fight heart disease, the No. 1 cause of death in women. Since heart disease heavily impacts the Latina community in Austin, a physician will share knowledge on maternal health and heart disease, a Zumba/salsa exercise demo will get your body moving, and there'll be a healthy cooking demo and prize giveaways.

    SUFFRAGE NOW: A 19th Amendment Centennial Exhibition

    On August 18, 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, giving women the right to vote. On August 6, 2020, the Elisabet Ney Museum debuts this new show for which women photographers nationwide were invited to share photos that comment on the Centennial of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment. The most eloquent images were chosen and are included in this online exhibition.

    The newest exhibition by that remarkable digital savant Melanie Clemmons transforms the gallery into a livestream temple dedicated to reimagining networked technology as a medium for spiritual rejuvenation and metaphysical manifestation. Surrounded by a series of video art projections that cast a magic circle, free from the internet’s more sinister elements, viewers can connect to cloud-based bliss.
