As events unfold, each character grapples with the evolving landscape of LGBTQIA+ rights and acceptance, and conservative hearts are revealed where you’d least expect.

    Austin Pride

    Austin's official celebration of Pride! Attend the festival where tons of local orgs like aGLIFF, Austin Public Health, HRC Austin, etc. will have booths filled with fun merch, plus performances from headliner Deborah Cox as well as Shea Coulee, Koco Caine, Kidd Kenn, Party Favors, Cupcake, Lady Grackle, and Detox. Then spend your night at the Pride parade, where floats from local faves like Austin Gay Men's Chorus and Texas Rainbow Jeepers march alongside corpo-queens like Google and Wal-Mart. No matter how you spend your Pride, we're all in this together baybee.
    Sat., Aug. 12. Festival: 11am-6pm; parade: 8-11pm. $10 for ages 7-17; $20 for 18+; free for 6 and under.
