    AARC: Let the Colors Speak

    Rashmi Thakur and Supriya Kharod, both born in India and both proud Austinites now, document their individual journeys through watercolor and acrylic paintings, depicting the colorful traditions, vibrant life, and diverse culture found in the two communities they love.
    Wednesdays-Saturdays, 6-8pm. Through March 30

    ACC Dance Classes

    The Dance Department of Austin Community College offers classes in modern, jazz, ballet, and improvisation techniques, with student work produced twice a year in the Choreographers' Showcase. Teachers include Ellen Bartel, Jessica Cox, Kathy Dunn Hamrick, Roxanne Gage, Darla Johnson, Sunny Shen, Catherine Solaas and Melissa Watt. Note: Classes can be taken for credit and applied toward your degree.
    Prices vary, scholarships available.

    Atelier Dojo

    This school of representational art is led by four world-class locals, teaches drawing and painting (both fundamental and advanced programs), has open studios with live modeling, a schedule of workshops featuring visiting artists from around the world, and is located in the heart of Big Medium's Canopy complex.     Austin Girls' Choir Placement Auditions

    Austin Girls' Choir welcomes new singers ages 8-18. Placement auditions are for all levels. The choir sings a broad range of genres, mostly in 3- or 4-part harmony.
    Weekends through Feb. 24. $25.

    Bale Creek Allen Gallery: L.A. Women

    This group show of six female artists from Los Angeles – Marnie Weber, Tanya Hayden, Alexia Lewis, Shelli Tollman, Tami Demaree, and Bettina Hubby – brings an array of works embracing such diverse themes as fantasy, myth, dreams, fairytales, race, and horror.
