Pansy Division, Fea, Hey Jellie [inside]

No surprise queercore punks Pansy Division bump up against their 30th anniversary this year. Think back to 1991 and the industrywide mushroom cloud of indie rock, hip-hop, and punk – especially in the band’s origin city of San Francisco, which famously spawned queer-centric pioneers the Dead Kennedys. Jon Ginoli and Chris Freeman still lead Panzer division spin-off, seven LPs strong and a seminal legacy act for the free hearts of modern rainbow culture. – Raoul Hernandez
