Marbled Eye, Daniel Francis Doyle, Distant Future, Blank Hellscape

Oakland fourpiece Marbled Eye yield warped vocal post-punk recalling the building cadence of first-wave Cali hardcore punks Adolescents. Last year’s debut LP Leisure dealt further strands of KBD-informed art-punk across nine tracks. Daniel Francis Doyle’s pop loops, Distant Future’s avant horn blasts, and Blank Hellscape’s industrial noise round out a trio of punk experimentalists providing local support. – Greg Stitt
