Laura Gibson, Dana Falconberry

Laura Gibson’s vocals arrest, delicate and lightly trembling. The Oregonian then unwinds emotions patiently and with precision, last year’s fifth LP Goners confronting grief as she explored more experimental arrangements while trading her folk guitar for piano and Wurlitzer. The result is ethereal and haunting, a calming devastation in the loss and lingering persistence of life. Former Austin nightingale Dana Falconberry returns to open. – Doug Freeman
