Interference Fest day one w/ Christie Blizard, Megan Easely, Chaitali Sen, Winol Tripantu, & more

In its first year, Interference Fest debuts “a focus on the exploration of listening, sound, and sonic experimentation.” An eccentric assemblage of womxn and nonbinary artists makes noise via music, poetry, performance art, dance, and film. Experimental Philly composer Michele Mercure recently enjoyed the re-release of her Eighties synth work by RVNG Intl. Christina Carter of avant-garde Texans Charalambides joins prolific local percussionist Julia Hungerford and San Antonio surrealist Christie Blizard. – Rachel Rascoe
