Austin’s patron saint of rollicking rock, Sabrina Ellis (A Giant Dog, Sweet Spirit), teams up with the funk-pop eccentricities of Minneapolis’ prolific Har Mar Superstar for new project, Heart Bones. The duo’s resulting earworm duets are synth-heavy grooves, imbued with a cinematic Eighties sound and palpably influenced by Dirty Dancing’s 1987 soundtrack. The live set includes mainly covers from the film (some iconic dances included), sprinkled with Heart Bones’ originals.
