  • Beatles Full Moon Concert in the Dark

    On the April Full Moon, come set intentions and indulge in the mesmerizing allure of live acoustic music performed by world-class musicians, surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight. Its a different kind of concert, that begins and ends in darkness, with music and a poem or two surrounding and soothing you. Audience members will be given the choice of bringing their own yoga mats and/or pillows to gaze at the shadows on the ceiling. A circle of chairs will be provided.

    Givers, Naughty Palace

    New EP Movin On marks a decade of buoyant, colorful music-making for Louisiana trio Givers. The bright pop capture led by Tiffany Lamson and Taylor Guarisco’s interlocking vox channels the tight, free-wheeling electricity of Dirty Projectors, returning to the band’s roots from 2011 indie debut In Light. Experimental New Orleans synth wiz Marcus Davis opens as Naughty Palace.

    As a final and free seasonal screening indicates, summer’s on the wane and – dog days aside – your ass will be sorry to see it end. Coen brothers’ 2000 hit, whose soundtrack won an Album of the Year Grammy for its Ralph Stanley-centric roots and folk, pairs up with veteran, homegrown cowpunk by Rattlesnake Milk. Food truck windows open 6pm, music at 7:30, and Clooney celluloid at dusk.
