    The Moody Blues

Last year marked the 50th anniversary of classical-rock touchstone Days of Future Passed, which transformed the Birmingham-bred Moodies from British Invasion one-hitters into superstars. Original flautist Ray Thomas passed away this month just shy of the band’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, but guitarist Justin Hayward, bassist John Lodge, and drummer Graeme Edge soldier on. Expect to hear Days in toto alongside highlights from chart-toppers like 1972’s Seventh Sojourn and 1981’s Long Distance Voyager.

    Pinback, Major Entertainer

Pinback’s Rob Crow and Armistead Burwell Smith IV revive a fan base that’s heard no new work from the San Diego act since 2012’s Information Retrieved. L.A. opener Major Entertainer may or may not perform in bubble wrap, soloing in a processed, unsettling childlike voice on matters of ominous subtext, contrasting Pinback’s upbeat and pretty but emo vocals and lyrical content.
