    Cookie Rich: Easter 12-Packs

    The locally founded (and now nationally acclaimed) sensation Cookie Rich is an update on the classic cookie, each bite-sized morsel made of two soft curvy cookies sealed with a delectable filling, and now there are six new flavors for Easter: Peep Peep, Easter Egg, Key Lime Pie, Candy Bar, Banana Pudding, and Orange Dreamsicle. Note: These selections are available for local pick up, delivery up to 30 miles.

    Easter at Perry's Steakhouse

    Perry’s Steakhouse is offering an Easter special that comes with an appetizer (pear salad or carrot ginger soup), an entrée (triple-glazed ham or caramelized prime rib), sides, and a white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. (Note: You can also pre-order this special online, for pickup on April 8-9.) And, for the brunch-goers of Austin, Perry's is opening an hour earlier (at 11am) and offering three of their brunch cocktails (brandy milk punch, mimosa, and bloody mary).

    Oh my! Goldie's – that intimate lobby level cocktail bar and lounge that's typically reserved only for Austin Proper Hotel guests and residents – is offering a proper afternoon Easter to all citizens seeking some posh and civilized noms on this day. Enjoy cucumber sandwiches, egg salad canapes, and macarons alongside a curated selection of health-focused teas, champagne, and sparkling wines.

    Little Ola's Easter Biscuits & More

    There are two Easter Biscuit packs here to set you up right: Little Ola’s Easter Biscuit Pack ($30): six biscuits, housemade honey butter, strawberry jam, and pimento cheese. Big Ola’s Easter Biscuit Pack ($63): everything from the Little Ola’s Easter Biscuit Pack and an apple Kentucky butter cake and a choice of one 32-ounce housemade beverage (chocolate milk, strawberry lemonade, or Arnold Palmer). Note: Both packs are available for pick up at Little Ola’s (April 7-9) and available at Olamaie (April 9), too.

    Red Beans and Ricely Yours, Austin

    This community initiative, headed by Chris Cubas and Maris Clegg, is dedicated to providing free meals (of red beans and rice, andouille sausage, cornbread, fruit, dessert, and a drink) to Austinites in need. "On Tuesdays, we will provide a link to sign up for a free home-made meal delivered to you with safety in mind," goes their announcement on Facebook. "There is no judgment and the form is anonymous. If you have been affected by the impact of Covid-19 or are having a hard time, we would like to make a small portion of your day a little bit better." Or, if you'd like to donate your time in driving, baking treats, or providing cases of nonalcoholic beverages, please reach out to redbeansaustin@gmail.com.

    This elegant SoCo dining spot offers a delicious three-course menu that features an assortment of pastries and crispy fingerlings for the table, along with dishes like deviled eggs with trout roe, breakfast sandwiches, smashburgers, Eggs in Purgatory, pozole verde, and more – plus special menu items for the kids.
