“I think a lot of what I write about usually is like, things that have to change, or that should change. And usually I know it, but I just am slow to do it cause it’s scary,” said Carmen Perry from Remember Sports to Atwood Magazine. Lizzie, the Musical
That legendary company called Doctuh Mistuh Productions returns to Austin after a five-year hiatus to present this rock musical adaption of the grisly Borden Family murders in 1893 and the subsequent trial of Lizzie Borden. The show – which premiered in NYC in 2009 and is written by Steven Cheslik-deMeyer, Tim Maner, and Alan Steven Hewitt – is directed here by the irrepressible Michael McKelvey, with musical direction by Ellie Jarrett Shattles.
