This is a group show by relay, begun in July of 2020 as a method of socially distancing a community in the height of the pandemic: Artists took turns alone in the space, each adding to the exhibition. Our Lady of the Sacred Part: Vulva Pope
Marina DeYoe-Pedraza's reverently irreverent ceremony celebrates the feminine and the divine and addresses systemic issues that women experience – in healthcare, sexism, and sex education (or the lack thereof) – the whole vivid production accomplished via object puppetry, readings from historical badass chingonas, and a full Mass service.
