    Austin Jewish Film Festival Summer Series

    The San Antonio Jewish Film Festival and the Austin Jewish Film Festival co-present a series featuring eight great new films and bonus content to keep you entertained all summer. In honor of Israel’s 75th birthday, all films are Israeli, and for most of these films, this will be their Texas premiere. All are geo-locked to Texas, but those traveling can request an adjustment via email.

    John Doe Noir Weekend

    Legendary musician and actor John Doe will join to discuss a selection of classic noir films, as well as a remake of D.O.A. starring Doe himself. The original D.O.A. (1948) screens Saturday, 4:30pm, followed by the 2022 remake at 7pm. Sunday starts with Kansas City Confidential (1952) at 4pm, followed by Out of the Past (1947) at 6:45pm.

    Paramount Summer Classic Film Series

    What's better than a classic film in a cool historic theatre on a hot summer day? The annual series is packed to the brim with excellent films, with almost 100 of them programmed with themes such as Black Excellence, the Pfeifferverse, Hitchcock Week, Robert Rodriguez Presents, Majestic Ball Week, and so many more. Individual tickets and multi-film passes are available. Robert Rodriguez selection What's Up, Doc? closes the series Sept. 2.

    Explore the beauty and complexity of moviemaking through sketches, storyboards, and designs that illuminate the creation of motion pictures from the silent era to the present day in this new exhibition, featuring production art from iconic movies like Rebel Without a Cause, Raging Bull, Apollo 13, and Lawrence of Arabia, many connected with innovative directors Alfred Hitchcock, David Lean, Mike Nichols, Michael Powell, Nicholas Ray, Martin Scorsese, Stephen Spielberg, King Vidor, and more.
