Special Event: In this biting satire, Damon Wayans stars as a frustrated TV exec who creates a racist minstrel show in an effort to get fired, but to his chagrin, the show is a huge hit. Ashley Clark, author of the book Facing Blackness, will introduce the screening and join for a booksigning after the event. Rainforest Partnership has announced it is accepting submissions for its annual juried film competition, Films for the Forest, intended to "share the voices and stories of forests worldwide, highlighting their rich biodiversity and local communities, their immense beauty and importance to the entire planet, the threats they face, and the opportunities for renewal."
