    PBS Indie Lens Pop-Up: AFS screens a doc about the fentanyl crisis in Vancouver, followed by a panel discussion with Urban Survivors Union, Texas Harm Reduction Alliance, and harm reduction worker Ronnie Grigg, plus a resource fair in the lobby with USU, THRA, and Communities for Recovery.

    Films for the Forest Call for Submissions

    Rainforest Partnership has announced it is accepting submissions for its annual juried film competition, Films for the Forest, intended to "share the voices and stories of forests worldwide, highlighting their rich biodiversity and local communities, their immense beauty and importance to the entire planet, the threats they face, and the opportunities for renewal." Winners will be announced on Earth Day (April 22, 2023).
    Regular deadline: Feb. 1; extended deadline: March 31

    ATX TV Festival believes that anyone anywhere has the potential to write the next great scripted TV series. If that's you, submit your pitch to get your idea and script in front of some of TV's greatest showrunners and execs. Finalists will be announced in the spring in advance of the festival, June 1-4.
