    Shock Cinema Series: Halloween

    Shock the Vote ATX, Independence Brewing Co., and Blumhouse Productions invite you to the ultimate Halloween party featuring a double dose of The Shape. Halloween 1978 and 2018 will screen, but that's not all: Prizes and contests galore, a pre-show reel, a shocking new beer from Independence, thrilling trivia, Halloween prizes from Trick or Treat Studios, and other spine-chilling surprises await. Plus, 80% of profits go to Shock the Vote ATX’s six featured nonprofits.

    Make any Tuesday terror-iffic, any Wednesday weird, and the rest of the week fantastic with Alamo Drafthouse curated picks via Alamo on Demand. If a film is there, it's because an Alamo programmer loves it. It's kinda like going to your favorite video store when you could do that, mixed with going to your favorite theatre, when you could do that too. Staff picks, cult classics, Found Footage Fest and Master Pancake, Weird Wednesday and Terror Tuesday, Fantastic Fest faves, they're all there for rental or purchase.

    Austin Jewish Film Festival

    Over 70 films are available to screen via the online platform through Friday. The closing night event on Thu., Nov. 12, is a drive-in screening at Dell Jewish Community Campus of the documentary Aulcie, about basketball legend Aulcie Perry.

    WIFT Hunt ATX

    You probably know about some of the local filming locations for Dazed and Confused, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Grindhouse, Friday Night Lights, and Office Space, but Women in Film & Television Austin is challenging you to visit them all. They've put together a handy map so you can hunt them all down, and to enter their scavenger hunt contest, post a selfie using #WIFTHuntATX and tag WIFT, or send it via email. You can also visit locations that aren't on the map if you're in the know. There are tons of cool prizes from local vendors, and all participants get a discount at the Gas Station in Bastrop. Get to hunting today; there are so many locations to visit!
