    Roar (1981)

Weird Wednesday: In keeping with the cultural moment we are having thanks to Tiger King, Alamo Drafthouse re-releases Roar, a weird and wild tale of humans living alongside dozens of lions and tigers (no bears). Often called "the most dangerous movie ever made," reputedly no animals were harmed during the filming, but 70 cast and crew members were. The film will be available starting April 15, and will feature a Q&A with co-star John Marshall. Some of the proceeds will go to a fund assisting members of the filmmaking community. Read a full review of Roar.
