London Fields

London Fields

2018, R, 108 min. Directed by Mathew Cullen. Starring Billy Bob Thornton, Amber Heard, Jim Sturgess, Theo James, Jason Isaacs, Cara Delevingne, Johnny Depp, Jaimie Alexander.

Not reviewed at press time. Long-shelved adaptation of Martin Amis' 1989 crime novel, with Amber Heard as a clairvoyant with a knack for manipulation, against a background of murder, writer's block, and darts tournaments. London Fields has been subject to multiple lawsuits since it was pulled from festivals in 2015, and is the last time Heard shared a screen with her ex-husband Johnny Depp before her allegations of abuse against him.
