The Garbage Pail Kids Movie

1987, PG, 100 min. Directed by Rod Amateau. Starring Anthony Newley, Mackenzie Astin, Katie Barberi.

REVIEWED By Marjorie Baumgarten, Wed., Feb. 21, 2001

Back in the day, everyone wanted to live in a yellow submarine. Not sure what's up, though, with wanting to live in a garbage pail. This crude live-action takeoff on the Cabbage Patch phenomenon ought to have had star Anthony Newley humming "Stop the Movie, I Want to Get Off."
