REVIEWED By Marjorie Baumgarten, Sun., July 23, 2000
This whimsical, comedic fairy tale was written by William Goldman, who adapted his cult novel for the screen. The film has gone on to acquire its own cultish devotees. It's directed by This Is Spinal Tap's Rob Reiner, who here abandons his previous movie's sense of farce and satire for much broader and more innocuous comedy.
