Set against the backdrop of the Israeli-Lebanese War of 1982 and the World Soccer Cup games in Spain,Cup Final (1991) shows how enemies in war can be comrades on the playing field. Israeli, Druse, Arab Muslim, and Christian soldiers all unite in their support for the Italian team, causing the lines between prisoners and captors to blur.
