King of the Sea

Lo Wai Kwong, the super-kicking bad guy from Jackie Chan's Drunken Master II, teams up with ludicrously named Seventies trash chopsocky star Conan Lee for this swashbuckling kung fu adventure. Lee stars as Bo Chi. Raised by pirates following the murder of his parents by vicious opium smugglers, Chi becomes a seafaring vagabond bent on destroying the British navy during ancient China's opium war. Wai Kwong stars as his rival, determined to take over Lee's position as pirate leader. Of course, all this sets the stage for mucho kung fu action, and it sounds like it could be fun. Unfortunately, advance word says otherwise, calling it everything from poorly written to downright boring. Yikes! Your move…
