    Friends Trivia

Get over your fake hate and your “I preferred Seinfeld” posturing. Friends was and remains the biggest sitcom for Gen-Xers as they realized that no one told them life would be this way (clap clap clap clap). It doesn’t matter if you left a guy at the altar, threw a girl’s wooden leg in a fire, or live in a box, as long as you know your chick and duck from your chick dip you’re welcome at this night celebrating supposably the funniest show of the 1990s. Could there be a better night out? – Richard Whittaker

    Bat City Bingo

Mamma mia: Did you know the game we call bingo originated in Italy? Descended from the Italian lotto game, bingo has been delighting young and old – okay, mostly old – since the 1500s. Enjoy boffo bingo from your friends at Bat City Bingo, who bring free “beano” to patios all over town, every Tuesday at North Loop bar & kitchen Double Trouble. Advisable drink pairings with your bingo card: for the sober, a hot choc, and for the spirited, an Aperol Spritz. Foodwise, I mean, a taco goes with everything – this writer suggests the vegan picadillo. – James Scott

    Pup Crawl

If dogs could drink, what would be their tipple of choice? My guess: a cold brewski on a good day, but a frozen daiquiri when they’ve had a tough one. Now, dogs cannot actually drink alcohol – not even Spuds MacKenzie – but you can sup for the pups by purchasing a Pawsport from Austin Humane Society. By dropping a crisp $25, you’ll be able to bring your dog along to Dog House Drinkery, MUTTS Canine Cantina Austin, Yard Bar, or the Watering Bowl, where they can run about an on-site dog park and you can get a free drink. Each bar earns you a Pawsport stamp, and all four stamps get you entered in pawsome prize giveaways. It’s no dog-safe daiquiri, but it’ll do until the science is there. – James Scott
