    Terlingua Original International Chili Cook Off + BBQ

    Also known as “The Behind-the-Store Chili Cook-Off” or “Tolbert Cook-Off,” this cook-off began the great chili argument as a publicity stunt by Frank X. Tolbert in 1967 with Wick Fowler and H. Allen Smith squaring off with their chili recipes, and has continued for 55 years.
