    The Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies at The University of Texas at Austin will host a free pre-college showcase for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.     Birds Barbershop + FSG Present "Good Hair Day" HAAM Benefit Concert

    Join Birds Barbershop and Feels So Good for a concert benefiting musician health care nonprofit HAAM, featuring Frankie & the Witch Fingers, RF Shannon, Ladyfang, Nick Garza's Get Along, Cast of Thousands, and DJ Boi Orbison. St. Elmo Brewing, Austin Eastciders, and Rambler Sparkling Water bring the bevs, and Zee's Wiener System, Welo Chuy’s Tacos, and Sugar Penguin Cookies bring the grub. Visit the Typewriter Rodeo for a custom poem, the Quick Draw Photo Booth for a one-of-a-kind drawing, and Birds Barbershop for a beard, bang, or neck trim. But wait! There's more: No Good Tattoo, Sister Palm Readings, Fiber & Brimstone, Fairy Plant Babes, and many other vendors will be on-site.

    Fresh for Less Mobile Markets

    This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks. Locations and schedules are subject to change, so check the current info online to find one near you.
