    Second Saturdays Are for Families

    Spend an afternoon at the beautiful lakeside Laguna Gloria campus and be inspired by the many sculptures scattered throughout the grounds, this month focusing on Tom Friedman’s larger-than-life metal sculpture Looking Up, which was originally conceived using recycled aluminum tins. Find creative ways to use recycled materials to make your very own work of art just as Friedman did, and bring your artful robot to life.

    Other Worlds Screenplay Contest

    Other Worlds Film Festival's eighth annual screenwriting contest, part of its mission to encourage work in science fiction and horror, is accepting submissions. New this year is the "under 18" category for young'uns starting to learn the craft. Early-bird deadline is March 31; entry fees increase with each following deadline (each month until August).
