    Children's Mental Health Awareness Day

Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, this year’s annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day event will be celebrated across Texas via an interactive website full of family-friendly fun, games, and resources.: This year’s celebration is particularly meaningful, as it’s coming on the heels of a legislative session that put a spotlight on mental health issues in our schools. Launch is on May 2 at 9am, and it continues throughout the month.

There are recordings and worksheets on a range of topics as wide as Texas: blues music, extreme mammals, cattle drives, and more. Plus, check out the very cool interactive tools like the Texas history timeline and "Campfire Stories," an interactive version of Amarillo artist Robert T. Ritter's mosaic that leads you to discover the people who wrote the stories of Texas.
