Volunteer With Refugee Services of Texas
RSTX is seeking mentors for their Youth Mentoring Program, which is focused on meeting the unique needs of youth ages 15-24 as they adapt to life in a new country. Mentors are paired with a mentee for six months and meet for a minimum of eight hours per month to work on goals together. Mentors must be at least 18 years old, residing in or near Austin, and able to meet the time commitment. All applicants welcome, regardless of language or profession, but there is currently a specific need for male mentors that speak Pashto, Dari, or Kinyarwanda.OngoingOnline

This month, medical research firm Benchmark Research will launch clinical trials to test vaccines aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 in Austin.
