Collection Rert: Tears and Laughter They Know About

This June marks the 50th anniversary of Judy Garland's death – and also of the Stonewall Rebellion. Queer lore has it that Garland's demise was a catalyst that pushed the events of that night into the riots they became. Now multimedia artist Silky Shoemaker has returned to Austin to create a personal homage to one of her many idols, honoring the actress with a room-filling shrine in the gallery of Collection Rert.
