Juneteenth History Day at Pioneer Farms
The historic farm will present the exhibit "Trailblazers in the 1800s Army," about African-American troops in the U.S. Army, and will have expert Alan Mack on hand. A special program from 10:30am to 12:30pm includes a reading of the Emancipation order that freed Texas slaves, special presentations and exhibits, and a sneak preview of the 1800s Dodson Farm that is currently under restoration.Sat., June 10, 10am-3pm -

Fresh for Less Mobile Markets
This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks.
