Texas Independence Day at the Driskill

In the spirit of all things Texas, the historic hotel celebrates with food, libations, and shopping from some of the state’s most beloved businesses. Find vendors with boots, belts, jewelry, Western wear, Texas-themed books, and more, and tap your toes to live country music from Aaron McDonnell. Food and drink specials and tastings abound, with Southern treats like chili, Texas caviar, brisket, and pecan pie among them. And it wouldn’t be a Texas event without a photo op with real, live longhorns: meet cheekily named rescues Brisket and Chuck, who now spend their days at T & D Adventure Parks’ ranch near Bastrop.
