    Día de los Muertos With ESB-MACC

    The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center's programming is mostly virtual this year, and it's time to begin preparations. To participate, you can register for a free sugar skull kit and watch instructional videos on creating them and other crafts, submit photos or videos of your ofrenda, enter the Catrina/calavera contest, visit the outdoor art installation, and more, all leading up to the digital program packed with performances and presentations.

    Halloween and Dia de los Muertos

    Nightmare on Willie Nelson Boolevard

    A special haunted backstage tour of ACL Live with music performances from beyond the grave, including SRV, Johnny Cash, and more, plus rock photo galleries, behind-the-scenes stories about the iconic venue and its performers, and some spooky surprises. Masks and social distancing are required, and there are multiple tour times to choose from between 8 and 11pm each night.

    Scare for a Cure

    Scare for a Cure is raising funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation with a fun Halloween challenge. Participate by uploading photos of your spooky decor, and they'll make you a donation page that you can share with your fans, with the option of adding your location to the map.     Shock o' Lantern Carving Contest

    Shock the Vote ATX teamed up with Trick or Treat Studios, Fangoria, and Panic Film Fest to award prizes for the best pumpkin carving submissions. Tag a friend you’d like to be spending Halloween with, and get to carving! ⁠Follow @shockthevoteatx and post a photo of your pumpkin creation with the hashtag #ShocktheVoteATX to enter, and select submissions will be featured during Panic Fest’s Tricks and Treats virtual Halloween weekend.

    Pioneer Pumpkin Patch

    The photogenic Pumpkin Patch in the center of Pioneer Farms' historic village square offers a wide selection of pumpkins to chose from at great prices, and proceeds benefit their unique historical programming. Hay bales, scarecrows, and benches offer opportunities for family photo ops, and shoppers can buy pumpkins without paying museum admission. Sponsored by Precision Camera.

    Un-boo-lievable Pumpkinfest

    Every evening of Pumpkinfest features a schedule of family-friendly events, demonstrations, live music, and more. From a new lighted walking tour of decorated historic sites to an array of spooky ghost tours, pumpkin-carving demonstrations and outdoor movies to Texas yodeling, circus performers, light-up DJs, a Pioneer Pumpkin Patch, Día de los Muertos exhibits, a Ghost Egg Hunt, and food, the programs will celebrate the spirit of the Orange Orbs in a uniquely Austin way.
