  • The Amazing Acro-Cats: Keep It Weird in Austin!

    The Acro-Cats tour supports Rock Cats Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Rock Cats Rescue is focused on saving cats "One Click at a Time" through cat welfare, rescue, and adoption. The Acro-Cats show promotes the importance of bonding and training cats with positive reinforcement, while also finding homes for rescued cats.

    Landmarks Dog Walk

    Landmarks has partnered with Blue Dog Rescue and Austin Pets Alive! to present a docent-led public art dog walk, with dogs and their people taking a leisurely one-hour stroll to see some of the most stunning outdoor sculptures around UT. Bring your dog, a leash, and plenty of waste bags to Nancy Rubins' Monochrome for Austin – on the corner of 24th & Speedway.

    U.S. Vintage National Championship

    Hosted by Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) – the largest and one of the oldest vintage racing orgs in the U.S. – this annual event allows spectators to witness race car history in action. The Trans-Am Series and International GT Series will share in the weekend festivities, plus a classic car show.
    Thu.-Sun., Oct. 3-6. Full weekend pass, $35; Saturday & Sunday passes, $20; Friday pass, $10.

    Yana Wana's Legend of the Bluebonnet

    In this all-indigenous production – written by Maria Rocha: and Roxanne Schroeder-Arce and directed by Rudy Ramirez for Teatro Vivo – 13-year-old María is sent to stay with her Coahuiltecan grandmother in distant Laredo for discipline and perspective. There, María is told an ancient story of young Yana Wana, who followed a revered deer to find water to save her people.
