    Fresh for Less Mobile Markets

    This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks. Locations and schedules are subject to change, so check the current info online to find one near you.

    In anticipation of the April 22 Hill Country Ride for AIDS in Krause Springs, red flags representing loved ones affected by HIV/AIDS will be installed along the trail in Pease Park on April 11, 4:30-7pm. The community is invited to visit the installation and reflect while it remains in the park.

    The Amazing Acro-Cats

    A troupe of trained housecats will purr-form feats of agility and entertainment like riding skateboards, jumping through hoops, and playing instruments in the band Tuna and the Rock-Cats. All shows are sold out, but they still seek volunteers, which is a great chance to see the show and help the kitties of Rock Cats Rescue.
