    It's My Park Day

    Join Austin Parks Foundation for their largest volunteer event of the year, where neighbors, family, and friends gather to help restore Austin's treasured parks. APF has partnered with local coffeeshops, breweries, and restaurants to offer free or discounted rewards after a hard day's work. Find a project near you and sign up online.

      Fostering Recovery: Bark in the Park

      Dogs Matter invites you to be part of its paw-some mission: The org provides temporary foster care and supportive services to dog owners seeking substance use treatment and transitioning into recovery, with the motto "We take care of your best friend while you take care of yourself." They're raising funds and awareness with a fun afternoon including live music, food trucks, dog yoga, canine caricatures, kissing booths, a doggie fashion show, adoptions, and more! And of course, it's dog-friendly, so bring your best friend along.

      Fresh for Less Mobile Markets

      This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks. Locations and schedules are subject to change, so check the current info online to find one near you.
