    10th Annual HESED Event: Where Faith & Justice Meet

    This lecture series is designed to promote awareness and church involvement in the area of social justice, thus enabling hesed, which is Hebrew for "love in action." The Rev. Dr. Stephen Ray is the distinguished keynote lecturer and preacher, who'll start things off on the theme of "Cages," introducing a weekend of discovery, community, activism, and worship.

    Fresh for Less Mobile Markets

    This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks. Locations and schedules are subject to change, so check the current info online to find one near you.

    Celebrating the past 30 years of the Young Women's Alliance's impact in the Austin community, this event also kicks off its annual peer-to-peer fundraising campaign for the Future Women Leaders Fund.
