    Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival

    A family-friendly, kid-focused event on a beautifully shaded farmstead, with tons of activities beyond the pumpkin patch: live music, art, games, a hay maze, face painting, pony rides, a petting zoo, and so much more. A portion of proceeds will go to the Friends of the Pound House Foundation.

    Mental Health Awareness Day at Rowing Dock

    Reset at Rowing Dock this World Mental Health Awareness Day, with a day of outdoor activity in nature. Daytime programming includes an hour of free paddling, and the evening's activities begin with an expert lakeside chat about modern mental health featuring Alyssa Cornett, hosted by Recalibrate, followed by a guided sunset sound bath and meditation led by ATX Yoga Girl.

    Paws & Pours for AHS

    If you'll be out and about in October and you love animals, here's a chance to maximize your fun and support Austin Humane Society. Simply buy a passport and all month you'll get free glasses of wine, free flights, and other paw-some specials at more than two dozen spots, along with a beverage and koozie from Mighty Swell.     Platelet Donors Urgently Needed

    A growing community means a growing need for platelets, which are a crucial component of blood used for cancer patients, people with traumatic injuries, and pediatric transplant patients. In an effort to ramp up platelet donations, We Are Blood launched “Power Up,” a program that awards donors who donate five times by Nov. 30. Donors can choose one of four exclusive prizes: an embroidered windbreaker, Alamo movie passes, a tote, or backpack. Schedule online or call 512/206-1266.
