    Join Austin Motel for an evening of live music, voter registration, and fundraising with Austin-based social impact company Waking Giants. Along with registering to vote with the Texas Playboys Baseball Club, locals can purchase a “hands off our rights” tote, tee, or yard sign with all proceeds going to the Annie’s List Training & Engagement Fund.

    ACL Festival Load-In Closures

    With the behemoth of a festival just around the corner, residents can expect road closures and verious lot closures around Zilker as the fest (Oct. 7-9 & 14-16) sets up and breaks down.     Platelet Donors Urgently Needed

    A growing community means a growing need for platelets, which are a crucial component of blood used for cancer patients, people with traumatic injuries, and pediatric transplant patients. In an effort to ramp up platelet donations, We Are Blood launched “Power Up,” a program that awards donors who donate five times by Nov. 30. Donors can choose one of four exclusive prizes: an embroidered windbreaker, Alamo movie passes, a tote, or backpack. Schedule online or call 512/206-1266.
