    MoveOutATX

    The city seeks volunteers for its event that collects gently used items from UT-Austin students during move-out season to divert items from the landfill. New this year is a Free Furniture Market (4901 Guadalupe), where Austinites can pick up completely gratis furniture (2:30-7pm each day). Sign up to volunteer and get plenty of perks from area businesses.

    We Are Blood’s Battle of the Badges

    The annual competition between first responders returns, with the goal of seeing who can donate more blood: Austin Police, Austin Fire, Austin/Travis County EMS, the Travis County Sheriff’s Department, or the city of Austin. Donors can vote for any of these when they check in for their appointment.
