    UPDATED: Waterloo Park Reopening CommUNITY Day

    Due to COVID-19, all events and programs are postponed, but the park will still open to the public on Aug. 14. Get lost exploring 11 acres of revitalized greenspace, 1.5 miles of trails, stunning Hill Country Gardens, the Moody Amphitheater, and so much more. CommUNITY Day will activate every corner of Waterloo Park, with musical and performing arts at Lebermann Plaza, kids’ activities at the Kitty King Powell Lawn, and STEM programming at the Meredith Heritage Tree Deck. Explore booths from a dozen community partners, and in the evening, enjoy the “Taste of Austin” concert showcase at the Moody Amphitheater, featuring Austin live music staple performances.

    To help reach the fundraising goal of $10,000 for nonprofit Hound Rescue, Dog Days Photography is holding a calendar contest with a $10 entry fee and vote cost of $1 each. Thirteen lucky puppers will appear in the calendar, and each week will feature mini contests with winning dogs receiving prizes from sponsor businesses.     Jaws on the Water (1975)

    Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water ... Alamo Drafthouse is bringing back the beloved "dive-in" screening of Jaws. As in years past, you'll view the film from a flotation device as scuba divers tease your dangling toes, and tickets get you access to the water park prior to the film.
